Open House

Join us at our Open House for the GU-EHLS program. EHLS faculty and staff will be on hand to answer your questions about the program and the full scholarships available.

Date: Sunday August 23 and September 13, 2009

Time: 1 - 4 PM

Location: Mortara Center for International Studies, 3600 N Street NW, Washington, DC 20057.

Parking: Free street parking. Free parking also available at Georgetown University's Southwest Garage (enter via Canal Road).

Public Transportation: The closest Metrorail stops are Rosslyn on the Blue/Orange Line and Dupont Circle on the Red Line. From Rosslyn, take the 38B Metrobus to 34th and M St NW. Is EHLS the program for you?

Do all the following requirements apply to you?

  • Native speaker with professional-level proficiency in Arabic, Dari, Farsi, Hausa, Igbo, Mandarin, Pashto, Somali, Swahili or Urdu
  • Advanced proficiency in English
  • U.S. citizenship
  • College degree
  • Ability to commit to full-time daytime study for 6 months at Georgetown University
  • Willingness to work for the federal government for 1 year
